Lois Ann (Wygant) Perry

Lois Ann (Wygant) Perry, age 89, resident of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on September 18, 2025. She was born on October 12, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Fred A. and Thelma (Schlapman) Lutz.

Lois began her professional journey at the Lion Store, where she skillfully managed the switchboard. Her commitment to service continued as she transitioned to St. Charles, where she spent 18 rewarding years in housekeeping. Her colleagues and those she served will fondly remember her hard work and infectious smile.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Lois had a passion for life that extended into her personal hobbies and interests. She found joy in gardening, nurturing plants with the same care she gave to those around her. Cooking was another of her beloved pursuits; she delighted in creating meals that brought family and friends together. Lois also enjoyed shopping and exploring new places to dine, and she took great pleasure in decorating her home, adding warmth and personal touches that reflected her unique style.

Lois will be remembered not just for her accomplishments but also for the love and kindness she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who carry her memory in their hearts.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving children, Vickie (Fred Griner) Wygant, Debra (Randy) Mottmiller, Karen (Denny) Christy, Susan Bullock and Sandra (Jim) Aldridge; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; step-children, David (Elaine) Perry, Michael (Jackie) Perry and Sandra (Lyle) Schroeder; many bonus grandchildren; and her beloved dog sidekick, Sadie Sue.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her first husband of 35 years, John H. Wygant; second husband of 19 years, William Perry.

Family and friends may visit at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 11:00 am, at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, Lois will be laid to rest at Clay Township Cemetery.
