Louis “Larry” Lawrence Sedlak, age 85 of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 13th, 2026. Larry was born on June 22nd, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Waite High School in 1958 and in 1963 married the love of his life Theresa. They celebrated 62 years of marriage in 2025. In 2005, he retired from Great Lakes Windows. He was a life long fan of all sports. Especially rooting loud and proud on Saturday for his Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed playing games on his kindle and reading mystery novels. Family meant a lot to him and he was a very proud “Old Pa” at all sporting events his grandchildren participated in.
Larry is survived by his wife Theresa; children Randy and Lori Firsdon (Doug); grandchildren Jessica Preston (Justin), Jacob Firsdon (Molly) and Joshua Firsdon; 5 great-grandchildren Brody, Dexter, Aiden, Canaan, Tate and soon to be baby Maya; sisters Kathy Hatfield (John), Janice Kerstetter, Barb (Rick) Manion, Deanna Nagengast, sister-in-law Nancy Sedlak and brother-in-law Tim O’Connor.He is preceded in death by parents Louis and Delores Sedlak; brothers William Sedlak, Thomas Sedlak and James Sedlak; sister Donna O’Connor; brother-in-law Donald Kerstetter; sister-in-law Patricia Sedlak(Schinharl) and great-granddaughter Erika.
The family is honoring Larry’s wishes by doing a small family only celebration of life later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ProMedica Foundation in honor of Larry.
