Magdalen (Devloo) Frank, 82, passed away on February 9, 2026 at Otterbein Perrysburg. She was born to Emil and Margaret (McCreary) Devloo in Pittsford, Michigan on May 27, 1943. She graduated from Pittsford High School in 1961. She moved to Toledo and met her husband of 59 years, John Frank. They were married on October 1, 1966 and together they built an amazing family.
Maggie, as she was affectionately called, was a hard worker. She worked for over 25 years as a telephone research interviewer. Her friendly demeanor and infectious laugh engaged many to want to talk and visit with her. She loved to cook, bake, and clean. At her grandchildren’s sporting events she was known as the “snack lady” because she made sure she had something for everyone.
Magdalen is survived by her loving husband John, children Melissa (Robert) Empie and Robert (Sandra) Frank, her sisters Mary Mitchell and Elizabeth (Lowell) Robison, and her brother Dan Devloo. Grandchildren Matthew (Michaela) Empie, Jacob (Kali) Empie, Kaitlyn (Theodore) Swartz, and Tara (Steve) George. Maggie also had four great-grandchildren, Kamryn, Ivy, Logan, and Noah who she loved and adored. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother David Devloo.
The family would like to thank all of the care givers at Otterbein Perrysburg and Ashanti Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Maggie over the last year and a half. Services will be private at the request of the family. Donations can be given to Otterbein Senior Life Home, Health, and Hospice for their Every Moment Matters Program.
