Margaret A. "Maggie" Kreais

Margaret A. “Maggie” Kreais, 82, of Toledo passed away on Sunday, March 8th, 2026 at her home. She was born to William F. and Helen (Jensen) Wolf on April 26th, 1943 in Jerusalem Township. She was the youngest of eight children. Margaret would go on to graduate high school as a member of the Clay High School class of 1961. Following graduation, she would eventually meet her husband, Sylvester “Sy”Kreais, and they would marry on June 10, 1971. Sy and Margaret would go on to raise a son together and celebrate 53 years of marriage together before Sy’s passing on August 30, 2024. 

Margaret was a former factory worker for Goodyear Tire in Luckey, Ohio. She enjoyed completing crossword puzzle books, drinking coffee, and in her younger years watching Nascar with her husband. She had a special love for her many dogs throughout the years, even going so far as to refer to them as her “children”. She will be greatly missed by all those she impacted throughout the years.

Margaret is survived by her grandson, Chris Kreais Jr., who was like a son, and siblings, William “Dick” Wolf Jr. and Shirley Keller. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Margaret in death are her parents; husband Sy; son, Christopher; brothers, Charles, Frederick, and Leonard “Jake” Wolf; sisters, Nancy Nagel and Alice Thomas, brothers-in-law, Bill Thomas and Ken Keller; and sisters-in-law, Maxine Wolf and Mary Jean Wolf.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, March 13th, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. A Funeral service will take place at the chapel beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the care of Christopher Kreais Jr., also known as “Buddy”.
