Margaret Zakrzewski (Olvera)

Margaret Zakrzewski (Olvera) went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2025. She was born to Simona and Francisco Olvera on April 15,1936, in Wisner County, Michigan.

Growing up the 5th of 12 children, Margaret and her siblings worked in the fields picking fresh fruits and vegetables. She loved country and Mexican music and was a woman of faith and loved God very much. In her younger years, she loved fishing, boating, bowling, and always loved cooking and cleaning. On Sunday’s, you could find her watching football cheering on her favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs. The most important thing to her was to always keep thriving, her faith, health and loving her family, especially her grandchildren: Matthew (Jasmine) Zakrzewski, Nathen Zakrzewski, Amanda, Taylor, Jacob Zakrzewski; great granddaughters, Avielee and Clara (Clare) Zakrzewski, and Lily; great grandsons, Colten, Jeeter, Maverick, and Seven.

Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and wife. Margaret is survived by brother, Victor Olvera; sisters, Victoria Orosco, Rosie Olvera, Gloria Olvera; sons, Ed Zakrzewski (with whom she lived with and was her caregiver), Cruz Jimenez; daughters, Diane Elliott, Mary Brabson, Sandy Hamilton, Cindy Jimenez,13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 4 bonus great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters. Margaret is loved by so many nieces, nephews and cousins who will all miss her dearly

She was preceded in death by her parents, Simona and Francisco Olvera; siblings, Tony, Nash, Mable, Helen, Robert, Frank Jr., and Danny; son, Kevin Zakrzewski; 1 grandson and 2 son-in-law’s.

Family and friends may visit at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. There will be a Rosary Service beginning at 3:00 pm.
