Maria Guzman

Maria Guzman, age 92, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on August 28, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas to Candelario and Josephina (Gonzales) Morales. Maria worked as a cook for El Matador and Ventura’s Restaurants. She also worked at the Sheraton Hotel downtown Toledo in the gift shop. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of Spirit and Truth Church.

Maria is survived by her children, Irene Perez, Marie Urbina-Riedel, Aureliano (Dawn) Urbina, Simon (Kim) Urbina, Juanita Guzman, and Steven Guzman; 33 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 14 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Avelina Hernandez, Yolanda DeLuna, Sylvia Abramo, Ana Rodriguez, Ester Kimbrell, and Roy Morales. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Aureliano Urbina, and Manuel Guzman, daughter, Josie Wagner, son, Emanuel Guzman, and many siblings.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
