Mark Oden, Sr

Mark Oden, 54, of Toledo, OH passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 after long battles of health issues. Mark was a great father, husband, brother, uncle, grandfather, and a friend to many. Mark enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, JUNKING, and most of all, spending time with his family. Mark worked various jobs, his favorite being at Willis Day, working with his brothers and uncle.

Mark was preceded in death by his loving wife, Edythe Oden; his son, Mark Oden Jr.; his mother, Patricia Howe; his father, Charles Oden; his brothers, Harold Johnson, and Charles Johnson; his sisters, Debbie Rucker, and Michelle Lavare; and many others as well.

Mark is survived by his sons, Austin (Amanda) Sterling, Kenny (Christina) Sterling, Phillip (Mary) Iler, and Ron (Kristy) Depew; his daughter, Crystal (Rodney) Sterling; his sisters, Tina (John Gully) Barnes, Jennifer Hill, and Effie Yentzer; his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Iler; his granddaughter and best friend, Katie Iler; his grandson and best friend, Kenny Sterling Jr; his niece and nephew, Josh and Nikkie Iler; and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mark will be truly loved and missed by family and friends.

Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon, Ohio on Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m.
