Maro Phillips, 84, of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 19, 1931 in Coshocton, Ohio to Ross and Dorothy (Countryman) Phillips. Maro was a construction worker for Great Lakes Construction for 33 years. He was a giving man that loved his family more than anything and they miss him dearly.
Maro is survived by his loving children, Cindy (Mark) Null, Michael Phillips and Maro L Phillips; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and sister Caroline Thornsley. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, of 52 years, Margaret Phillips; parents; children, David McVay, Janie Nixten, Johnny McVay and Sandy Nickle, great-grandson, Baby John and 7 siblings.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contribution can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
