Marvin “Butch” Clay Jewell, age 80, of Millbury, OH, passed away at Genoa Retirement Village on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He was born in Elyria, OH on August 29, 1943 to Albert W. and Jennie R. (Howerth) Jewell. After high school, Marvin enlisted in the US Air Force and honorably served his country. He was a quiet man and worked as an electrician with his father and later was a truck driver. He considered himself a chef by cooking and baking to his heart’s content. Butch enjoyed traveling, sailing, tennis, and loved to watch westerns and older television shows and movies such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Bonanza, Matlock, and The Waltons. In his younger years, he was involved with the Lions Club in Orlando, FL with his father and volunteered countless hours there.
Butch leaves behind his significant other, Sylvia Jo Robinson; his siblings, Doodie Miller, George Jewell, and Jerry (Frances) Jewell and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jennie Jewell.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel , Oregon, OH.
