Mary Guadalupe Garcia

Mary Guadalupe Garcia age 70 of Toledo passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo. Mary was born on September 26, 1952, to Cruz and Mildred (Avalos) Garcia in Toledo, Ohio. She was a 1973 graduate of Woodward High School and earned her associate's degree from the University of Toledo. Mary was an excellent cook and managed a kitchen in the Old North End. She was family oriented and a loving mother who was always concerned about everyone’s well-being. Her presence will be missed very much.

Mary is survived by her loving sons Alfredo Garcia, Kent Miller, and Benjamin Quintanilla; grandchildren Aubrey, Kent Jr., Isidora, and Winter; siblings Stella, Dolores, Tina, Josie, Rose, and Cruz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Minnie and nephew Andrew.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 2 until 8 p.m. at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon. A Funeral Mass will be held at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church 728 St. Clair St in Toledo on Monday at 11 a.m. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service for visitation. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
