Mary Louise (Meadows) Wahl

Mary L. Wahl, 87, of Oregon passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, August 17, 2015. She was born in Charleston, WV on October 9, 1927 to Alonzo Santford and Letha Louise (Thomas) Meadows and was a graduate of Northwood High School. Mary worked as a clerk for Toledo Edison and then was a waitress with Eastern Lanes Bowling Center for over 20 years. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, gardening and tending to her beautiful roses. She was a gifted artist enjoying drawing and needlework.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, Robert F. Wahl; grandson, Ryan Wahl and daughter-in-law, Janet Wahl. Mary is survived by her children, Robert J. (Janet) Wahl; Ernest (Linda) Wahl, Sandra Welch (Al Williams), Kathleen (Howard) Henry, Cheryl (Frank) Montague and Timothy (Karen) Wahl; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Corbett Meadows, Dennis (LouAnn) Meadows.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel , 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 after 11 a.m. where the Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff at Parkcliffe at Northwood for their loving care shown to Mary.
