Michael (Mike) Clere

Michael (Mike) Clere, 47, of Oregon Ohio finally ran out of stories to tell and late-night texts to send… and, surrounded by family and friends, decided to take the party to a higher level on March 29, 2026. Mike was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 18, 1980, to Marsha and Steven Clere.

He was a Boy Scout throughout his childhood, becoming an Eagle Scout. Mike graduated from St. Francis De Sales High School (Toledo) in 1998 and previously worked at Northern Ohio Investment Company. Mike enjoyed tinkering and driving cars; being outdoors; listening to music; hanging with his friends and family; spending time with and snuggling his dogs, especially Summer and his beloved Miley; and making people laugh. 

He is survived by his daughter: Alexis Duskey; grandson: Ezra; uncles: Robert (Vicky) Clere, Dennis (Pamela) Clere, David (Jennifer) Clere, John (Bev) Wetzel; aunts: Sandy (Frank) Bihn, Judy Wetzel, & Linda Avery; many cousins; his significant other: Julia Dumas; and a number of wonderful and cherished friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents: Marsha and Steven Clere; and grandparents: Pauline and Richard Wetzel & Geraldine and Earl Martin.

Per Mike’s request, there will be no funeral service. Instead, friends and family are invited to celebrate Mike's life at a gathering this summer.
