Michael David Johnson

Michael David Johnson age 73 of Harbor View, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Michael was born to Nelson and Helen (Bourdo) Johnson in Toledo, Ohio and grew up in Temperance, Michigan. Michael was very proud of his work installing in-ground irrigation systems, most recently for Floral Landscape and Elite Landscape. He retired in 2015. Michael sat on the council for the Village of Harbor View. He loved gardening, shopping, festivals, and bingo.

Michael is survived by his wife Cindy Puhl-Johnson; children David and Tina (Marty); step-children Rachel (Howie) and Nick (Misty); grandchildren Kayla, Kendra, Dawn, Michael, Conner, Aiden, John, Tyler, Kenzie, and Kylie; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 on-the-way; sister Barb; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Matthew Johnson, parents, and sisters Linda, Peggy, and Mary; mother-in-law Helen Cheatham; and sisters-in-law Connie and Caroll.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon, Ohio on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Burial will follow in North Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
