Nathaniel David Alan LaBelle

Nathaniel David Alan LaBelle, "Nate", age 21, of East Toledo, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026, after sustaining injuries from a car accident. Nate was born on May 8, 2005, and was a 2024 graduate of the Glass City Academy. He was a construction wireman with the IBEW Local 8.

When Nate was little, he was always outside and loved the water; his favorite trips were to the ocean. Nate loved his mother, and according to his siblings, he was her favorite. He dressed to impress, complete with the perfect cologne, and knew music inside and out. In his room, he played his music loudly and enjoyed gaming. Nate recently became a father, and his world expanded with the love for his daughter, Florencia. He was learning to cook and wanted to provide everything for his little girl. To his nieces and nephews, he was the best uncle and role model. Nate will be forever missed by his family and friends; he was taken too soon.

Nate is survived by his person, Mireya Balderas; daughter, Florencia LaBelle Balderas; parents, Shannon LaBelle and Scott Shaw; siblings, Destiny (Jorge Perez) LaBelle, Jeffrey (Katrina) LaBelle, and Brendan (Kristen) LaBelle; grandparents, Beverly and Darrell Black, Brenda Enck, Chivo and Bebé Gonzales; nieces and nephews, Nathaniel Bonds, Carlito LaBelle, Adalina LaBelle, Rico LaBelle, Jorgio Perez, Leilani LaBelle, Nyellie LaBelle, and Raul Perez; best friends/brothers, Aaron Thompson and Lewis Hart, canine companion, Tilly; and many other friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, and family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David Alan Martinez, Faye and Robert Brazeal.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon, Ohio on Monday September 28, 2026 from 2 until 8 p.m. A Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the family to care for his daughter, Florencia.
