Peter A. Johns, age 74, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on December 15, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Peter was the cherished son of Joseph and Eleanor (Thomas) Johns. His life was marked by dedication, passion, and an enduring commitment to both his professional career and his personal interests.Peter was a graduate of Clay High School and furthered his education by earning an associate degree from Owens Community College. With a keen mind and a love for technology, he built a career in CAD Machine Design, contributing his expertise in a field that demands precision and creativity. His commitment to education extended beyond his own learning, as Peter served as an instructor at Owens Community College for many years, shaping the minds of future professionals with patience and encouragement.Beyond his professional life, Peter’s heart was deeply connected to the open road. An avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, he found immense joy and freedom in riding his motorcycle. The thrill of the ride, the camaraderie of fellow riders, and the adventure of trips taken on his Harley were defining elements of his life. Peter also had a passion for racing and was a devoted fan of NASCAR, finding excitement in the speed and competition.

Peter is survived by his brother, Mark Johns; and close friends, Mike Bailey, John Rivera, and Bill Boris. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial gathering will take place at the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 2 – 4:00 p.m. where a memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Any motorcycle riders that are available for a ride by are welcome.
