Peter W. Quinlan III, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Goerlich Center in Sylvania, OH. He was born December 31, 1932 in Toledo to the late Peter W. and Bertha (Straits) Quinlan II. He was a graduate of Macomber High School and retired with a 40 year career in the battery industry. Peter enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening, photography and radio controlled airplanes. He was a former president of Weak Signals RC Club and a member of Topics Camera Club.
Peter is preceded in death by his wife Pearl; daughter-in-law Dianne Quinlan; sisters Geraldine Brown, Glenna Harmeyer and Sally Heber. He is survived by children, Peter W. (Ellen) Quinlan IV, Pam (Douglas) Kadlick, Patrick (Ellen) Quinlan, Phyllis (John) Ello, Phillip (Molly) Quinlan, Patricia (Phillip) Henzler, Paul (Jacquelyn) Quinlan and Preston (JoAnn) Quinlan, 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sister Jane (Alvin) Bialecki; brother-in-law, William Heber. Special appreciation is extended by the Quinlan family to the caregivers at the Goerlich Center.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
