Phyllis Jean Bodi

Phyllis Jean Bodi, age 86 of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Phyllis was born to Edward and Elizabeth (Studneski) Hartwig on October 24, 1939, in Curtice, Ohio. Phyllis was a 1958 graduate of Clay High School and married the love of her life, Robert David Bodi, on November 12, 1960, in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church- Bono. Phyllis loved her family, Notre Dame Football, Quilting, and playing Euchre. As a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, she was active in Altar Rosary and was the housekeeper for the Rectory.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert David; children, Jackie Bodi, Karen (Gil) Lumbrezer and Rob (Michelle) Bodi; grandchildren, Rob II, Geoffrey (Emily), Robin (Randy); great-grandchildren, Ben, Sebastian and Remy; and her sister friend, Sylvia Menden. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 North Stadium Rd., on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are appreciated to St Jude Children's Hospital, Ohioans Home Health and Hospice, or Jerusalem Township Fire Department.
