Raymond C. Cousino Sr. ,86, passed away on March 14,2026 at St. Charles Hospital in Toledo. He was born to Robert L. and Dorothy (Kahl) Cousino on February 21, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio. Raymond would go on to meet Carol Parker and they would marry on December 3, 1960. Together they would raise a daughter and son and celebrate 54 years of marriage together before Carol’s passing on June 16, 2015.
Raymond worked as a residential painter and was a member of the Local 7 painters union. He was also a member of First St. John Lutheran Church. Raymond enjoyed playing board games, cards and partaking in yardwork. He was a funny man with a great sense of humor, even going as far as joking with his ER nurses during his last hospital stay. He found joy in spending time with friends, family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a proud grandparent. Square dancing, golfing, traveling, and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes were other passions of his. Raymond’s presence will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
Raymond is survived by his children, Raymond (Lisa) Cousino Jr and Sheryl (David) Pitsenbarger; grandchildren, Raymond III (Christina), Jonathon (Tara) Kochensparger, Jennifer (Dean) Luginbuhl, Robert (Ginger) Cousino, Lucas (Becca) Pitsenbarger, and Tyler (Taylor) Pitsenbarger; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Trace, Addysin, Hunter, RJ, Jon Jr., Tiara, Jaden, Greyson, Persephonie; great-great grandchild, Elizabeth and sisters, Nancy (Ed) Moates and Judy (Donald) Jones. Preceding Raymond in death are his parents, wife Carol, twin Robert M. Cousino, and step-sister Vicky Shatto.
Friends and family may visit Freck Funeral Chapel in Oregon, Ohio, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 1 until 3 p.m. A Memorial Service will begin at 3 pm in the chapel. Interment will take place at a later date at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Raymond’s memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
