Robert "Bob" Morrison passed away peacefully on the morning of August 17, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.

Born in Toledo on January 17, 1948 to Allyn and Dorothy (Redhead) Morrison, Bob grew up in a lively household. He was an alumnus of Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio, and went on to graduate from the University of Toledo.

Bob dedicated 33 years of his career to the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station. He began his journey there as an Equipment Operator, but found his true calling in his favorite position as a Training Instructor. In the training department, Bob thrived, enjoying an ever-changing audience for his many always funny and insightful stories.

A man who cherished his time in different communities, after retiring Bob split his time between his homes in the Toledo, Ohio area and Bradenton, Florida, enjoying the time with his Florida family, deep friendships and active life he built in both places. He possessed an adventurous spirit and a passion for exploration, traveling all across the United States, Canada, Venezuela, and England. He always kept his eyes on the horizon and had even more trips planned for his future.

It was during one of these adventures that he met his wife, Susan Watkins, in New Orleans. With his characteristic charm, he managed to convince her—as only he could—that Toledo was just like New Orleans because "it had a river and everything."

Of all his adventures and achievements, his sons gave him one of the biggest joys of his life: his five grandchildren. Bob was never happier than when he was surrounded by Charlotte, Vivien, Frances, Sacha, and Dorothy, who was proudly named after his mother.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Allyn and Dorothy; his brother, James; and his brother-in-law, Ronald Cooper.

He leaves behind a rich legacy of laughter and love. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; his sons, Tobias (Allison) and Evan Morrison (Katherine Richards); and his five adored grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers, Allyn and John (Beth); and his sister, Jenifer Cooper; his nieces and nephews; and many in-laws, along with many dear friends and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held in the spring, and final arrangements will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge or Boy Scout Troop 160 Millbury Summer Camp Program, both organizations which were important to Bob and to which he volunteered many hours.
