Robert Walter Hullinger, age 75, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away surrounded by love on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio – Perrysburg. He was born on February 17, 1951, to the late Paul Hullinger and Anita (Schlegel) Lyzan.

Robert graduated from Waite High School in 1969 and continued his education at the University of Toledo, where he earned his bachelor’s degree.

Robert proudly served over two decades in the United States Coast Guard, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. His military career was distinguished by dedication and honor, and he remained an active member of both the Chief Petty Officers Association and the Chief Warrant Officers Association, reflecting his enduring connection to his comrades and his service branch.

Following his military career, Robert applied his skills and entrepreneurial spirit as the owner of Process Servers of Northwest Ohio. Through this role, he contributed meaningfully to his local community, providing reliable services.

Beyond his professional achievements, Robert found joy and relaxation in fishing and photography.

Robert’s contributions to both his country and community remain deeply valued, and he is remembered with great respect. This isn’t goodbye, but we will see you again…

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving siblings, Paul E. (Darla) Hullinger, Frank (Laurie) Hullinger, and James Hullinger; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the man that help raise him, Theodore Lyzan; and sister, Linda Rayburn.

Private family services to honor and celebrate Robert will take place at a later date.
