Ronald Allen Morton

Ronald (Ron) A. Morton, age 82, passed away on Tuesday , February 8, 2022. He was born in Harbor View, Ohio on August 23, 1939 to John P. And Dora (Schacht) Morton.  Ron was in the Army, stationed at Fort Knox from 1962 to 1964.  He was a conductor for Conrail for 32 years before retiring in 2002. Ron liked small towns and lived in Walbridge, Ohio most of his life. He loved taking drives throughout the area. He enjoyed going to the parks with his kids and grandkids enjoying nature Ron was a very caring man.
Ron loved attending car races and spent many hours helping his nephew, Steve with his race car on Saturdays and Sundays.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Rhonda (Jeff) Maran; son, Ron Morton; sister, Diane Pedersen; brother, Gary Morton (Nancy), and grandchildren; Cassidy and Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Darlene Haehl, Joyce Houser, Sharon Zunk, and Shirley Shimman; and brothers, Art Morton and John W. Morton.

The family will receive guests on Sunday February 13, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 South Wynn Road Oregon Ohio services will be held immediately after the viewing with a brief Graveside service following at Lake Township Cemetery.
