Ronald "Ron" Wilka

Ronald Fredrick Wilka, age 82, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at home surrounded by family members. He was born on February 19, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio to Alfred and Mildred (Goeckerman) Wilka. Ron was a 1961 graduate of Lake High School and went on to earn his associate degree from the University of Toledo. Ron worked as a manufacturing supervisor for Champion Spark Plug retiring with over 30 years of service.

During his retirement he worked at Sky Bank and the Toledo Museum of Art. In his spare time, Ron loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed attending car shows, reading the newspaper and magazines, and watching TV shows and movies. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jo Ann; children, Karena, Ryan (Michelle), and Rachel (Ben); grandchildren, Paris, Cael, and Shay; sister, Sharon Baker and brother-in-law, James Cousino. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon, on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 10-12:00 p.m. where services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be to Zion Lutheran Church (Latcha, OH) or a charity of the donor’s choice.
