Rosemary Carper

January 12, 1938 — July 6, 2021

Rosemary Carper, 83, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Genacross-Wolf Creek Campus.  She was born on January 12, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph and Alice Komasinski, she was an only child.  Rosemary worked in the credit department at St. Vincent Medical Center for 27 years.  She was a member of Hope Baptist Church.  Rosemary loved spending time with her children and grandkids.  She enjoyed flower gardening, computer solitaire, crossword puzzles, and loved her Hallmark movies.

Rosemary missioned along side her husband at Fountain View Nursing Home, for 10 years, every week on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  It was a 30-mile trip.  She met her husband, James R. “Bobby” in the 3rd grade at Sherman Elementary School in Toledo.  Soon after their marriage on Nov. 6, 1956 in Angola, Indiana her family of 7 began arriving, 6 girls and 1 boy.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Jim (Terri) Carper, Joanne (Russ) Lytle Vollmar, Debbie (Rick) Fravor, Donna (Rob) Tunks, Pam Mahorney, Gloria (Don) Rolf, Mary (Ray) Sampson; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; cousins, Marcia Fleitz and Rick Babcock; and her puppy, Honey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Alice Komasinski; husband, James; 2 great-grandsons, Dakota and Ashton; son-in-law, Earl Mahorney.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 3-8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
