Roul W. Klag

Roul “Rick” Klag, age 73 of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Roul was born in Toledo, Ohio, on February 28, 1953, to Robert and Freida (Lilje) Klag. He was a 1971 graduate of Clay High School and graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1975. Roul worked many different jobs throughout his life, but retired from BP Refinery in 2015. After retirement, he spent his time traveling and enjoying good food, spending time with his family and friends, and golfing at Maumee Bay every chance he had.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roud Klag. He is survived by his sister, Tate Wilson; son, Roul (Natalie) Klag; and grandson Jackson.

His son thanks all of the family, friends, and healthcare workers who provided him care and comfort over the past few months. He will be remembered and missed by so many for his kindness and generosity. Private arrangements are being organized by his family. Donations in his honor may be made to the Toledo Museum of Art.
