Sandra Jean Arquette was born on December 17, 1940, to loving parents Harold M. and Mildred M. (Searfoss) Hook. She attended Raymer Elementary and graduated from Waite High School in 1958, and was known to break out and sing the fight song whenever the mood struck her. At school, she met the love of her life, Stanley Arquette, and they married on November 24, 1962. She worked at the DeVilbiss Manufacturing Company in the international division and finished her career at Envirosafe Services of Ohio. However, to her, work was only there to help provide for what she truly loved, which was spending time with her family. She and Stan enjoyed going to the stock car races, hockey games, and dances, and later camping and vacationing with friends and family. She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mom, aunt, meemaw, GG, and friend. Those were the titles she was most proud of. She was an avid scrapbooker and chronicled many of the family’s events for us to remember fondly. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren all knew that she would rarely miss the chance to cheer them on at their athletic and other events. She was very proud of each and every one of them and will be in their corner rooting for and encouraging them, always. She will be missed beyond measure.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband, and great-granddaughter Erika. She is survived by her brother Marvin (Darlene) Hook, her children Darrin (Sarah) Arquette and Kristin (Scott) Wamer, her grandchildren Jessica (Justin) Preston, Madison and McKenzie Arquette, Ruger and Deighton Wamer, great-grandchildren Brodan and Dexter, nieces Dawn, Angela, Jamie, and Lisa, and nephews Dennis and Jacob.
A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., in Oregon, Ohio, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., continuing with Burial at Restlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Sandra's memory to her favorite charities, Tunnel-to-Towers (t2t.org) or the Cherry Street Mission in Toledo (cherrystreetmission.org).
