Sherry L. Peth

Sherry L. Peth, age 83 of Genoa, passed away peacefully at the Genoa Retirement Village on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Sherry was born to James and Hazel (Fraley) Adams in VanLere, Kentucky, on June 3, 1942. Sherry was a bus driver with Genoa Area Local School District for over 30 years before her retirement. She and her husband, Dick, who preceded her in death, were members of the Main Street Church and Cooley Canal Yacht Club. Together they enjoyed travelling up north, snowmobiling, camping, and boating. Sherry was quite the firecracker, fiercely independent and hardworking.

Sherry is survived by her daughter Pam Schall; grandchildren Britnee, Hayley, and Jake; niece Cindy (Brian) Eckert, and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Dick, daughter Dee Gargac, and grandson David Powell.

A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd. in Oregon, Ohio, on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 1 until 3 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 3 p.m. A private burial will be held at Clay Township Cemetery.
