A life well lived. A heart well loved. Memories that will last forever.
Theresa Rose Wright, 75, peacefully entered eternal life on July 12, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, with her hands gently held by those who loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, resilience, and countless beautiful memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved her.
Born on November 1, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio, and named after St. Thérèse, her Catholic faith quietly guided her life. She lived with a thankful heart, found beauty in ordinary moments, and had a way of making everyone around her feel cared for.
Theresa retired after 21 years as a Hospice Home Health Aide, where she compassionately cared for countless patients and families. Her calling to care for others extended far beyond her profession, as she cared for several members of her own family during their hospice journeys.
She was proud of her Italian heritage and loved making homemade Italian noodles, gardening, feeding and watching the birds, crocheting, traveling to her home in Melbourne, Florida, listening to 1960s music, and spending time with those she loved. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, and her greatest joy was making memories with her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl J. Wright; her parents, John and Rose (Duganiero) Beckwith; her brother, John Beckwith; and her cherished grandson, Jacob Lewandowski.
She is survived by her caring daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Doug Lewandowski; her adored grandchildren, Drew and Jenna Lewandowski; her beloved brother, Harry Beckwith; her loving sister, Tina (Jeff) Lovejoy; her niece, Christina Collins, and nephew, Robert Yarger, who held a special place in her heart; many other beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and her special "Sista's" from the Ovarian Cancer Connection—Linda, Libby, Patti, and Jill. She also leaves behind her lifelong childhood friends, Pam and Rocleen, whose friendship she treasured.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Theresa's life on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed by a 12:00 p.m. funeral service led by Monsignor Tad Oxley of St. Michael Catholic Church in Gibsonburg. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery, where Theresa will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Carl.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Theresa's memory to the Out of the Darkness Foundation, established in memory of her beloved grandson, Jacob, or to the Ovarian Cancer Connection – Fremont Chapter, which provided friendship, encouragement, and support throughout Theresa's own cancer journey.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and unwavering support they so lovingly provided throughout Theresa's journey. They also wish to thank Theresa's dedicated sister, Tina (Jeff) Lovejoy, for her many home-cooked meals, unwavering support, and countless acts of love, as well as her cousins, Anna and Sandy, whose weekly phone calls brought Theresa comfort and became something she looked forward to each week.
Theresa's legacy of faith, kindness, and love will live on through the family she cherished, the friends she treasured, and the many lives she touched.
