Thomas Jones

Thomas Jones, 74, passed away on November 12, 2025 at Ayden Healthcare of Oregon. He was born to Robert and Juanita (Pierce) Jones on January 11, 1951 in Toledo, OH. Thomas was a graduate of Genoa High School as a member of the class of 1970. He would go on to meet his future wife, Susan Panczykowski, and they would be married on September 22, 1979. Thomas and Susan would raise four children together and celebrate over 45 years of marriage.

Thomas could be known for giving people a bit of a hard time, but even towards the end of his journey on earth, he was known by many at the end of the day as a great person. He was quick witted, always had a one liner to say, and spoke up and advocated for others when they needed it. He loved a good conversation and would spend time talking with anyone who wanted to converse with him. In his free time, he could be found driving motorcycles or his corvette, hunting, fishing, and cheering on the Denver Broncos. Above all however, Thomas was a devoted family man. The impact Thomas made on his loved ones and family will never be forgotten, and those that knew him miss his comforting presence dearly.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Susan Jones; children, Alisha (Michael) Knitz, Thomas Jones Jr., Michelle (Keith) Morris, and Steven Jones; grandchildren, Tyler, Jakob, Helena, and Peyton; siblings, Patricia Bell and Janet (Peter) Jaenicke. Preceding Thomas in death are his parents and sisters Virginia Morrow and Shirley Lee.

Family and friends may visit at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd. in Oregon, Ohio, on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held for Thomas beginning at 4:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor John Genszler of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. A celebration of life will be held at Harbor-View Yacht Club 2180 Autokee St. Oregon, OH 43616 following the service. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Center.
