Victoria Ann Steck, age 63, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, December 19, 2025. She was born on January 9, 1962 in Toledo, Ohio to Clifford and Eleanora (Cousino) Crabtree. Vickie was a 1980 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School. She worked as a deputy sheriff retiring after 30 years of service at the Lucas County Sheriff’s Department. She was a devoted member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and previously St. Louis Catholic Church. Vickie was involved in many ministries with the church including, Eucharistic Minister, Funeral Luncheon Coordinator, and cooking for church functions. She was also a member of the CORDA Club and St. Hyacinth Seniors.
Vickie enjoyed cooking and baking for family and was very generous with her time volunteering. She catered many family events and made cakes with special designs for family members. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Vickie is survived by her children, Ted (Breann) Steck, Tim ( Shelby) Steck, and Katie Steck; siblings, Becky Crabtree, Raymond (Kathy) Crabtree, Sue (Steve) Noethen, and Kenny Crabtree; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Barb (Karen) Steck, Ruthann (Rico) Dicembrino, and Jim (Connie) Steck; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; siblings, Philip and Steve Crabtree; and her in-laws, Charles and Velma Steck.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 3-8:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Additional visitation will take place at church from 9-10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands of St. Louis.
