Virginia Marie Goulet

Virginia Marie Goulet, age 81 of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo. Virginia was born to Earl Sr. and Dorothy (Swope) Guy in Toledo, Ohio on January 21, 1945. She was a 1963 graduate of Waite High School. Virginia was a Life Insurance Agent with Western Southern for decades before retiring in the early 2000s.

If Virginia had been in the military, she would have made a great general. She had the uncanny ability to be both stern and lead with a soft heart. She curated a life that allowed her to give of herself as much as humanly possible without hesitation. Virginia raised a village of children in her years, from her own children and grandchildren, as well as their friends and children from the neighborhood. She was very well known and liked. Virginia was a strong woman who had affectionately been called a "force of nature". She loved going out for breakfast and catching her soaps in the afternoon. Virginia was the glue that held her world together and will be deeply missed.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Ronald; children Mark Goulet, Wendy (John) Russell, David Goulet, and Robert (Tyna) Goulet; grandchildren, Casey (Andrew) Gorney, Joel Simon, Nathan Simon, Cody Simon, Chelsea Goulet, Hunter Goulet, Karlea Snyder, and many great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Kapp, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Donald Guy, William Guy, Earl Guy Jr., Richard Guy, and Dorothy Gillette.

A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd. in Oregon, Ohio, on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Make-A-Wish.
