Virginia Marie Kochanski

Virginia Marie Kochanski, beloved wife and mother, age 83, of Oregon, OH, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024.  She was born in Darke County, OH to Ray and Evelyn (Subler) Armstrong on December 15, 1940. Virginia dedicated her life to her family and found joy in simple pleasures such as gardening, cooking, crafting, and traveling in her later life.  Virginia participated in multiple craft shows throughout the area.  She loved to cook for her family and no one ever left hungry.  Zucchini bread was one of her many specialties.

Virginia is survived by her children, John Kochanski, Charlene (Jerry) Dombrowski, and Teresa (Bruce) Boardman; 6 grandchildren, Cindi, Bradley, Philip, Julia, Gena, and Joel; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her special life partner, Charles Claytor.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; brother Richard Armstrong, son-in-law J. Robert Gonzales, and her grandson, Brandon Gonzales.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel , 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral chapel on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Heartland Hospice.
