William Garlow, age 90, passed away peacefully at NW Hospice on June 7. He was born to Edith (Fagan) and Fred Garlow on August 15, 1934 in Findlay, Ohio. He spent the first half of his life there and graduated from Findlay College with a BS Degree in 1956. He served the community well as he was active in the Men’s Garden Club, President of the American Institute for Banking, Scouting, and was treasurer of his church. He was employed at First National Bank.

He met his beloved wife Cheryl (Berger) at a dance. They were married in 1987 and he helped to raise a family of two little sons, Maurice and Marshall Thompson. He became involved with the Rossford Community, especially Rossford United Methodist Church, where he was Finance Chairman, member of the Board of Trustees, sang in the choir for 30 years, and served the Lord. He was employed at Key Bank and after retirement at Perrysburg City mowing grass in the city areas.

Bill and Cheryl loved to travel and did so with many of their friends. They traveled to all 50 states, Europe, the Mediterranean Sea area, the Caribbean, and the Holy Land. Bill loved to fish, golf, go camping, and rooted for all of the Ohio sports teams. He was an “Indians” fan from the day he was born!

He proudly served our country in the Air Force Reserves for six years. Bill was fun, generous, had a great sense of humor, lots of energy, and was youthful his whole life. He said he always tried to do his best on whatever he did. Well done, Bill, and we will miss you so much!

Bill is survived by his wife, Cheryl, and sons Maurice and Marshall (Stephanie). He adored his grandchildren Mack, Daisy, Holt, and Bo Thompson who survive. He treasured his many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in law, and wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Byal and Dorthey Garlow, brothers Bud and Maurice and parents.
