Ann M. Warren, age 90, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, July 5, 2021 at her home with her daughter by her side. She was born on February 27, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Filomena (Kurina) Hudecek. Ann was a 1950 graduate of Clay High School. She married Donald Warren and together they started their family. In her younger years, Ann ran the Cardinal Stritch cafeteria for 25 years, was a banquet waitress at the Secor Hotel, and catered for weddings with Alice Harvey at the Commadore Perry. She later worked at St. Charles Hospital as a vascular oncology supply tech for 18 years and volunteered with St. Charles Transportation.
Ann was a lifelong member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church where she sang with the Resurrection Choir, was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and helped with funeral luncheons. She was also a member of the Pinochle Club for 60 years, Christ Dunberger American Legion-Ladies Auxiliary, and the Cardinal Stritch Beretta Club.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Don Satkowski) Warren and Cynthia (Mike) Gertinisan; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson; brother, Carl (Paula) Hudecek; sister, Helen Basich; niece, Karen Tivitian; nephew, Vance Tivitian; and best friend, Bonnie DeStefnio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald; daughter, Kathleen Clouse, and son, Jeff.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 2-7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church where the family will receive guests after 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Ignatius Church, Cardinal Stritch, or the Donor’s Choice.
