Athal Eugene Methvin

Athal Eugene Methvin, 86, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021.  He was born August 12, 1934 in Coleman, Alabama to Eugene and Virginia (Moore) Methvin.  He married the love of his life, Alice, and together they spent many joyous years.  He was a longtime member of Bono Baptist Church. Athal worked for many years as a boiler inspector for the City of Detroit.

Although he was not survived by any immediate family, he will be remembered fondly by his extended family both in Ohio and Tennessee and especially missed by his dear friend, Billy Spurgeon. 

Graveside services will be held at Lake Township Cemetery on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.  Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
