Becky Jo Chio

Becky Jo Chio, age 75, of Oregon, OH, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born December 18, 1946, in Toledo, OH to her loving parents Joseph and Lavone (Chevalier) Mills. Becky worked for many years as a nurse providing loving care to those in need. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed her time on the bowling league, she enjoyed, Bunco nights, and pool time with good friends, but most of all she cherished the time spent at the many family gatherings that she hosted time and time again.

Becky leaves behind her children, Paul Berning, Greg Berning (Chris), and Doug Berning (Michelle); her grandchildren, Gregory, Caitlyn, Chad, Nathan, Kyle, Michaela, and Mia; her great-grandchildren, Xavier, and Zyler; her siblings, Laurie, and Sherry; her cousin, Sally; her godchildren, Jennifer, Dana, and Glenn; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lavone, and her siblings, Joann, Cindy, and Colleen, and Godson, Shawn.

A memorial service will be held at Hope Community Church, 5650 Starr Extension, Oregon, OH, on Thursday, September 15, 2022 with visitation starting at 4:00 p.m. and services starting at 5:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel, Oregon, OH.
