Carole M. Gladieux

     Carole M. Gladieux, 82, of Freeport, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  She was born on April 26, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to Albert and Pauline Pfeifer.  Carole was a graduate of Clay High School.  She worked various jobs over the years including: Zips Ice Cream, a bus driver for Oregon Schools and retired from Jobst as a supervisor.  Carole was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Newcomerstown, Ohio with her husband, Barney for many years.  She enjoyed taking cruises, traveling to casinos and fishing on Lake Erie for walleye.  She will be dearly missed.

     Carole is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Barney Gladieux; children, Martin Nelson, Brian Nelson, Allen Nelson, Patty McNeal, Mike Gladieux, Mary (Marvin) Rhoads and Hank (Jodi) Gladieux; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her brother, John (Linda) Misiewicz.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Pauline Pfeifer; sons, Neal Nelson, John Gladieux and Barney Gladieux Jr. and her sister, Paulette Cogswell.

     Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, from 10-1 p.m. where services will be held at 1 p.m.  Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
