Charles Edward Hodge

Charles Edward Hodge age 76, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Charles was a graduate of Macomber High School and went on to college before meeting the love of his life Joyce. To Charles, his wife and family was everything. Together they were active on CB Radio as Silver Wings and Hillbilly Windsong. The neighborhood enjoyed the Hodge music as he played gospel music singing, playing guitar from the back porch with his brother and family. Charles was not only devoted to his family but he was a devout Christian and loved Jesus. Everyone knew him to be welcoming and loving.

Charles is survived by his children Laura (Mike Glass) McClanahan, Charles (Dena) Hodge Jr., Keith (Dianna Carl) Hodge; grandchildren C.J. (Samantha), Toshmay (Mike), Josh (Bobbie), William (Adrena), Matthew (Regina), and Kayla (Erica); great-grandchildren Leland, Aleah, Elijah, Trinity, Matthew Jr., Elizabeth, Elise, Evelyn, Michael, Julian, Bella, Gracie, Liam, John, Rebecca, and Mariah; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce on February 22, 2016, brothers Billy Hodge, Leo Hodge, Jim Hodge, sister Isabell Rogers, and brother-in-law John Rogers.

Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel in Oregon on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
