Claude Cheatham, 67, died peacefully in his home Tuesday, January 1, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was a retired Jeep worker who was employed there for 25 years. In his spare time, he loved to watch the Ohio State Buckeyes and was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. He enjoyed swimming, fishing and playing golf. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle.
Claude is survived by Rebecca his loving wife of 18 years; children Claude III (Tonya), Dana, Jeremiah (Jessica), Adam (Erica), Uriah and Lindsey (Jazer); grandchildren Claude IV, Kyle, Katelynn, Todd (Erica), Amber, Damon, Devin, Vanessa (Will), Kelsie, Alexis, Serena, Adam Jr., Carson and Jaylen; great grandchildren Claudia, Paisley, McKenna, Norah, Mason, Theo, Dallas, Lincoln, Vincente, Emiliano, Abel and Kellan; siblings Sharon (Ron) Field, Barb (Tom) Bihn and Danny Cheatham. Also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Claude Sr. and Dorothy Cheatham; brother James Cheatham; sisters Karen Moon, Dorothy Shively and Tracy Cheatham; niece Heather Kirk.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, January 4, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2018. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to SouthernCare Hospice.
