Daniel Lee Heath

Daniel Lee Heath, age 57, went home on September 18, 2021 at Silvercrest Manor in Crestview, FL.  He was born on June 17, 1964 in Toledo, Ohio to Ina and David Heath. As a young boy and like most kids, Danny enjoyed playing football, basketball, bowling and softball. However, at the age of fourteen when he experienced a broken nose, the x-rays revealed that he had a massive brain tumor. Within days he was rushed to the University of Michigan for over 18 hours of surgery during which a portion of his brain was removed. He also lost his sense of smell and sight in one eye. After spending nearly 6 months in the hospital, he was released to the care of us, his family. Although as a young man Danny led a limited life, he was fortunate to do a lot of traveling across the United States, eventually settling in Florida.

Through his difficulties, Danny still loved watching football, playing games and always joking with everyone. Although he will be missed, we know he is in a better place, enjoying seeing with both eyes and bringing joy and laughter to others with his humor. Rest in peace…we love you.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Ina Heath; brother, David Heath Jr.; niece, Vanessa (Cody) Bruns; nephew, Timothy Heath; great-niece, Haidyn and great-nephew, Logan.  He was preceded in death by his father, David Heath.

A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 11-1:00 p.m. where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m.
