David R. Miller

David R. Miller, a born again Christian, went home to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the age of 75.  He was born on May 14, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Starla and Richard Miller.  Dave was a 1965 graduate of DeVilbiss High School where he played tuba in the marching band.  His talent allowed him to play as well at Toledo University while he earned his degree.  Dave worked various jobs over his 39-year career with the City of Toledo, from drafting to inspecting.  Dave enjoyed life and his family.  His favorite activities were taking family trips, fishing at Devil’s Lake, and being an excellent pool shark.  His family will dearly miss him.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Susan Miller; daughter, Wendy (Jim) Wharton; sister, Linda (Dave) Daly; grandchildren, Nichole (Anthony) Loughner, Heather Wharton, Matthew Miller, James Wharton, Iasia Rubio, and Isaia Rubio; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Cameron, Marleigh, and Braelynn Starr; brother-in-law, Tom (Rita) Leszkai and many nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Jenny Miller.

Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 South Wynn Road, Oregon on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Rivers of Life Sanctuary or the Donor’s choice.
