Erin Marie Thacker

Erin Marie Thacker, age 45, of Toledo, OH, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022, after a brief battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Oregon, OH, to Ricky and Debra (Hozak) Thacker on August 23, 1977. Erin graduated from St. Ursula Academy and was later employed as a medical billing specialist at Midwest Eye Consultants. She was also well known at the Ottawa Tavern as the door girl and it was said that you could only get in with her okay. Erin was a loving person who cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She was a member of the Toledo Hungarian Club, an advocate for the arts and music in Toledo, cheered for the Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions, and loved her houseplants and animals, especially sloths but most of all, her cat, Rosie. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Erin leaves behind her mother, Debra Thacker; her grandparents, Richard and Shirley Hozak; her aunt, Sandi Peth; her uncles, Brad (Dorothy) Hozak, and Rick (Emei) Hozak; her significant other, Shane; her dear friends, Amy, Summer, and Sonya; her cat, Rosie; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ricky Thacker; her grandparents, James and Tina Thacker; and her uncle, Art Peth.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the funeral service to be held at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Victory Center, Toledo, OH or Ovarian Cancer Connection, Toledo, OH.
