Evelyn B. Collins

Evelyn B. Collins age 97 of Bono passed Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Majestic Care of Toledo. Evelyn was born to William and Irene (Jamison) Hartenfeldt in Curtice, Ohio on March 14, 1925. She was always a hard worker cutting her own grass up until the time she went into a nursing home. Evelyn was the best mom to her 8 children. She loved to garden, cook and bake. Evelyn was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church-Bono.

Evelyn is survived by her children Gretchen (Larry) Durviage, Robert (Linda Sue) Romstadt, Jean (Abe) Rivera, Richard (Vickie) Romstadt, Janice (Jim) Wicker, Charles (Diane) Romstadt, Daniel (Connie) Romstadt, and JoAnn Niceley; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and her sisters Mary Cluckey and Shirley Shutt. She was preceded in death by her husbands Ralph Romstadt and Joseph Collins; sister Arlene; great-grandson Benjamin and great great-grandson Elijah.

Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel in Oregon, Ohio on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 10 until 1 p.m. A private graveside service for the family will be held in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
