Fermin Rubio, Sr

            Fermin Rubio, Sr., 91, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Arbors of Oregon.  He was born on June 3, 1930 in La Feria, Texas to Crespin and Maria Rubio.  Fermin worked for Donovan Wire Company, retiring after 30 years of service.  He loved spending time with his family, especially teasing his grandkids with his one-line jokes.  Fermin was often heard singing and playing his guitar with his wife.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and riding his bike.  He will be dearly missed.

            Fermin is survived by his children, Rosita (Gilbert) Delgado, Maria Rubio, Fermin Rubio, Jr., Gilbert Rubio, Domingo Rubio, Belinda Gonzalez, and Crespin Rubio; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juana; daughter, Diane Comiskey; granddaughter, Rosalinda Delgado; son-in-law, David Saar, Jose R. Gonzalez, and siblings.

          Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 2-4:00 p.m. where services will follow at 4:00 p.m. Burial will take place on Monday at St. Ignatius Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
