Flora Tagle

Flora A. Tagle, 55, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at MercyHealth St. Vincent Medical Center after a seven-year battle with Breast Cancer.  She was born on January 19, 1966 in Oregon, Ohio to Dominic Mattoni and Evelyn Cutcher.  Flora was a 1984 graduate of Waite High School.  She worked as a machine operator for Diamond Crystal for 14 years and as a cook at the Holiday Inn Express.  Flora loved taking care of kids, especially her grandkids.  She was known as “Grandma Flora” to all.  In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, listening to music, and dancing.  Flora was a very outgoing person and loved to meet new people.  She will be dearly missed.

            Flora is survived by her daughters, Nichole (David) Beltran and Jessica (Allan) Fitch; grandchildren, Analicia Flores, Carl Fitch, David Beltran Jr., Duke Beltran, Raquel Flores, and Lucas Fitch; siblings, Tonda (Mike) Nutt, Joe (Cathy) Mattoni, Starr Tabner, and John Mattoni; and many nieces, nephews and her extended Tagle family.  She was preceded in death by her father, Dominic Mattoni; mother, Evelyn Mattoni; stepfather, Melvin Posadny; and her siblings, Arnold “Butch” Mattoni, Dominic “Duke” Mattoni, and Daniel “Chip” Mattoni.

            Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, March 11, 2021, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Elliston Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Baskets of Care.
