Florence “Flo” Mihlbauer

Florence Lillian Mihlbauer, 85, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Vibrant Living Care Center.  She was born on January 17, 1937 in Gnadenhutten, Ohio to John and Dorothy Galbraith.  After graduating from Gnadenhutten-Clay High School, she attended Aultman School of Nursing.  Flo was a R.N. for many years starting at St. Vincent Hospital and retiring from St. Charles Hospital in 1997.  Flo and her husband, Jackie (Jack) Mihlbauer were happily married for 63 years, raising five sons, and in their early years were foster parents.  She was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church, Quilts of Compassion, and Maumee Bay Quilt Guild.  Over the years she was involved in Mother’s Club, 4-H, Cub Scouts, and many other organizations.

Flo is survived by her sons, Jeffery Mihlbauer, John (Terri) Mihlbauer, James (Erika) Mihlbauer, Jerry (Rachel) Mihlbauer, and Jasin Mihlbauer; grandchildren, Stephanie (Korey) Dye, Jessica Mihlbauer, Aaron Mihlbauer, Brittany Mihlbauer, Allison Mihlbauer, Alex Mihlbauer, and Olivia Mihlbauer; great-grandchildren, Harper and Harrison; and in-laws, Ardeth (Robert) Cerana, Kathy Busch, and Diane (Earl) Pierce.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Jackie.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, June 26, 2022, from 2-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Quilts of Compassion.
