Gerald Stanley Wheeler

Gerald S. Wheeler, age 91, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.  He was a member of Job Free Will Church in Bradner, Ohio. Gerald was born on June 23, 1931 on Gatewood Road in Fayetteville, West Virginia to Robert and Carrie May (Bennett) Wheeler.  He served in the U.S. Navy, from 1949 to 1953.  Gerald married Marjorie (Meissner) in 1963.  He was a retired contractor for Sawyer Roofing in Chicago, Illinois.  In his spare time, Gerald enjoyed fishing, growing plants, and loved animals.  He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Frank and Carrie (Bennett) Wheeler, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Wheeler; brothers, Robert, Donnie, Buddy, and Larry; sisters, Uldene, Leona, and Carol June; and great-grandson, James Dixon.  Gerald is survived by his children, Gerald (Barbara) Wheeler Jr, Kelly (Gene) Gagnon, James (Loleatha) Wheeler, Carrie (Angel) Fernandez, and Thomas Wheeler; grandchildren, Troy Wheeler, Victoria Gagnon, Curtis Main, Jennifer Main, Makenzie Gagnon, Jaydon Gagnon, Andrew Wheeler, Sarah Wheeler, Ashlea Tucker, Raina Tucker, Gerald Gonzalez and Margaret Dixon; and great-grandchildren, Zalena Gagnon, Dallas Dixon, Lilyannah Dixon, Emma Dixon, Savannah Sikorsk, Grace Krotzer, Nathaniel Gonzalez, Michael Gonzales, Isabella Gonzalez, and London Gonzalez. 

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 10:00-1:00 p.m. where services will be held at 1:00 p.m.
