Hazel Lorene MacLean

Hazel Lorene MacLean, age 87, of Maumee, OH, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023. She was born in Enright, Arkansas to Wesley and Grace (Boatman) Swan on September 11, 1935. Hazel worked for many years as the head housekeeper for the Little Sisters of the Poor. She loved her family, and cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Hazel leaves behind her children, Janet Hinkle, and Scott (Lorraine) Handing; her grandchildren, Reynold, Bryan, Erin, Tevin, and Jacque; her six great-grandchildren; and her brother, Dale. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna; her granddaughter, Melissa; her husband, James Handing; her husband, Donald MacLean; her siblings, Harold, Marvin, John, Laverne, and Donnie; and her parents, Wesley and Grace.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Hazel will be laid to rest at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
