Joseph Duwve Obituary

Joseph Raymond Duwve, 89, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital. He was born on September 20, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank and Thelma Duwve. Joe proudly served in the U.S. Army, before starting he career with B&O Railroad. He retired after 42 years of service. In his spare time, Joe enjoyed working with his tools and being in his garage. He could fix anything and took much pride in restoring old cars. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He will be dearly missed.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Denise Duwve; children, Debbie (Bob) Haas, and Lori Jo (Tom) King; stepchildren, Thomas Donaldson, and Dee Dee Donaldson; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and his sister-in-law, Marcella Duwve. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence (Virginia) Duwve, Ed Duwve; sister, Margaret (Bill) Ankney; daughter, Jennifer Rupp, and stepson, Joseph Donaldson.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow starting at 12:00 p.m. at Northwood Church of God 1838 S. Coy Rd Northwood, OH 43619.
