Joy Lynn Coffman

Joy Lynn Coffman, age 47 of Northwood, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022. She was born on December 25, 1974 to Roy and Polly (Colvin) Coffman in Oregon, Ohio. She graduated from Genoa High School.

Joy was an absolutely beautiful woman, inside and out. She was always there for anyone who needed her, whether it was a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear. She would give the shirt off her back, even if she didn’t have another to replace it. Joy worked as a Boilermaker for the Local 85 and was also a welder. She was such a hard worker, doing work that some couldn’t even come close to accomplishing.

Joy was a wild child. She loved rock n’ roll and country music, and was as spunky as they come. She was loud and always the life of the party. She may have been a tomboy and down to get dirty, but her eyeliner and makeup were always on point. Joy could always be found doing puzzles, watching her crime shows and horror movies, and cheering on her favorite team: the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The part of her life she was most proud of was her family. Her daughters were loved so much, as well as her grandchildren. She took such great care of them always, and she will be dearly missed by those who loved her.

Joy is survived by her children, Vanessa (Jason George) Ramirez and Alexis (Logan Bihn) Meinke; her significant other, Bob; grandchildren, Vincente, Emiliano, Abel and Wyatt; stepson, Brandon; her parents, Roy and Polly Coffman; sister Lori (Carl); and brother, Steve (Kathy). Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 3-6:00 p.m. where a memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
