June Carol Kuharchek

June Carol Kuharchek (nee Schwab) age 82, of Millbury and formerly of Oregon, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at Bay Park Community Hospital. June attended Waite High School and later earned an Associate Degree in Applied Business in Travel and Tourism. She was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Nicholas Lee Kuharchek Sr., in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her first husband of 25 years and the father of her children, Harold David Smith, in 2016. June worked as a merchandiser for Hallmark Greeting Cards. She enjoyed traveling, birding, gardening, and collected blue glass and antiques. June was a 20+ year breast cancer survivor and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

June is survived by her loving children Carol Sue (Mark) Watson, David Allen (Debie) Smith, Laura Lee (Shane) Roberts, and Gloria Jean Reetz (Russ); grandchildren Mark Watson Jr., Andrew (Heather) Watson, Joshua (Jennifer) Cowell, Michael (Jen) Smith, Matthew (Roxie) Smith, Brandon (Kayla) Smith, Amanda (Jason) Douthett, Ken (Lindsay) Smith, Joe (Dani) Reetz and 13 great-grandchildren; sister Vicki Lynn Ramasocky; brothers James Lee Schwab and Dennis Harold (Marki) Schwab. She was also preceded in death by her parents Victor William and Loretta Dorothy (Juergens) Schwab and sister Patricia Anne.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, April 2, 2021, from 3-8:00 p.m. A funeral will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of cut flowers, to honor June’s love of gardening, live plants and planters are requested. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU nursing staff at Bay Park for their care and kindness.
